I just had to drop by and tell you how much I LOVE THE NEW ALBUM! I've been a fan since the 80's, I have all of your albums and they are ALL great. I have to admit, I was worried about this record without Ron , but after listening to it I WAS SOOO WRONG. )Derrick is an AWESOME singer, wise choice on your part!) This is some of the best music I've heard in years! The songs are so meaningful, I have not taken it out my cd player since I purchased it. One of my favs is Fields of Yesterday, It's a BEAUTIUL song! I have always LOVED your song writing.

"Finally got enough time to comment on the Lillian Axe show on Friday
night here in Dallas. Wasn't quite sure we were going to make it
since all our company websites went down and I didn't get off work
until almost 10PM after 15 hours of hell. But something was in the
cards and we got to the Curtain Club by 11:30 which turned out to be
just enough time to get a beer and find the stage. Got to say I was
extremely impressed on the sound, the tightness and the intensity of
the band and how well they worked together. All the new and old
songs sound as if they had been done by this group of guys forever.
Steve tore the shit out of the Star Spangled Banner as an American
flag was unfurled behind him. Quite the moment. Ken had a mini drum
solo that ripped and Eric was totally into it and slinging the braids
like a madman(even though I heard he was really sick, what a
trooper. You would never know it). Sam was his usual jamming self
and I was able to snag one of his cool guitar picks. Thanks Sam! It
was nice to visit with Paige and Mary, Nancy, Erin and Adam and even
saw Tonya for the first time in awhile. Also saw Lillian's previous
bass player Darrin Delatte. After the show I got to visit with Chris
who I hadn't seen in a few years and 93.3 The Bones Robert Miguel who
does the morning show here in Dallas now. I met a few others but I
suck at remembering names. I got to meet Derrick after the show and
let him know what a great job he did. Sorry I didn't get to visit
more with Steve after the show but my ass was pretty hungry and I had
to eat. Steve, you did a fantastic job and I love the new guitar.
It sounds fantastic. I really appreciate you keeping this band
together and jamming for us. I hope Dallas showed you the love, you
guys deserve all the success you possibly could get. Incredible show
and we had a great time. Thanks again!
