After being inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame on May 16, 2010, the original members of Lillian Axe (Michael “Maxx” Darby, Steve Blaze, Johnny Vines, Danny King – as pictured) reformed to produce a CD of never recorded songs from the early years of the band.  They aptly named the project, Circle of Light and played the Louisiana and Mississippi market, respectively. Destiny had intervened by rejoining this iconic band of veteran musicians for a second go around in 2011. The band hit the studio and raided their vault of songs that have been tucked away for some time. The outcome, fittingly entitled “Rebirth” was released in 2012. “Rebirth” gave light to songs that had long been coveted by fans but never officially released.  Sadly, Johnny Vines passed away March 24, 2016 and will forever be loved and missed by his bandmates and fans alike.  You can still find the Circle of Light CD occasionally on Amazon.
